Topnotchers of the November 26, 2017 Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE)

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has released the lists of successful examinees who got the highest score also known as topnotchers and top performing regions of the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) held last November 26, 2017.

Southern Tagalog (Region IV) 24.90% or 131 passers out of 526 examinees

Successful examinees may claim their Certification of Eligibility at the CSC Regional Office concerned by February 7, 2018They are strongly advised to verify/check first the availability of the Certification before going to the CSC Regional Office. Passers must personally claim their COE. Representatives are NOT allowed. Please bring valid IDs for verification of identity.

Both passed and failed examinees may generate their ratings using Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS) by January 22, 2018. See instructions here.

CSC confers new Local Treasurer Eligibility on 1,234

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has conferred the Local Treasurer Eligibility on 1,234 individuals out of 6,521 examinees of the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) held last November 26, 2017.

Janine Lynn Ochia from Northern Mindanao (Region X) topped the exam with a 92.78 rating, followed by Alvim Batol from SOCCKSARGEN (Region XII) with a 91.67 rating. Remar Doromal also from Region XII and Kevin Pumares from Ilocos (Region I), tied in third place with a 90.28 rating.

Geographically, Ilocos Region (Region I) obtained the highest passing rate of 29.91% or 134 passers out of 448 examinees. Eastern Visayas (Region VIII) followed with 26.21% passing rate, representing 103 passers out of 393 examinees. Placing third was Southern Tagalog (Region IV), registering a 24.90% passing rate or 131 passers out of 526 examinees.

The Local Treasurer Eligibility (LTE), the latest eligibility instituted by the CSC, is a second level eligibility appropriate for appointment only to Local Treasurer and Assistant Local Treasurer positions and to positions under the Financial Services that do not involve practice of profession and are not covered by Bar/Board or special laws.

The institution of the LTE, the CSC said, forms part of the Standardized Examination and Assessment for Local Treasury Service Program (SEAL) of the Department of Finance which seeks to professionalize the ranks and improve the competencies of treasurers. The new LTE also aims to enhance the recruitment and selection process.

Completing the top passers are Aris Balsita (CAR) – 90.00; Melody Jane Accion (Eastern Visayas) – 90.00; Allan Luy (Zamboanga Peninsula) – 89.72; Florentina Braceros (Ilocos region) – 89.72; Noelle Grace Rillon (CAR) – 89.72; Lita Tenorio-Maligaya (Southern Tagalog) – 89.44; Ma. Perpetua Maripel Castillo (Southern Tagalog) – 89.44; Julie Ann Claro (Western Visayas) – 89.44; and Fermina Palangpang (CARAGA) – 89.44. BCLTE was conducted in 15 regions.  

The CSC said examinees, both passed and failed, may generate their individual test result by January 22, using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), which can be accessed at the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph or through the link http://www.csc.gov.ph/exam11262017/cseppt/. Those who passed, the CSC added, may claim their Certification of Eligibility at the CSC Regional Office concerned by February 7.
