 The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the 2023 calendar of national civil service written examinations.

2023 Foreign Service Officer Examination (CSE-FSO) Application Guide

 The Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the conduct of the 2023 Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO).

The Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO), administered by the CSC in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs-Board of Foreign Service Examinations (DFA-BFSE), will be held on February 5, 2023. The application period will run from October 13, 2022 to 18 November 25, 2022 (until 5 pm only).

2022 Calendar of Civil Service Written Examinations

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the 2022 calendar of national civil service written examinations through Examination Announcement No. 01, s. 2022.

The CSC will administer different written examinations nationwide, eligibility examinations and non-eligibility (agency requested) examinations.

2020 Calendar of Civil Service Written Examinations

The CSC will administer different written examinations nationwide, eligibility examinations and non-eligibility (agency requested) examinations.

2020 Foreign Service Officer Examination (CSE-FSO) Application Guide

The Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the conduct of the 2020 Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO).



The CSE-FSO will be administered on February 2, 2020. Conducted in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). The application period will run from October 11 to November 28, 2019.

2019 Calendar of Civil Service Written Examinations

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the 2019 calendar of national civil service written examinations through Examination Announcement No. 08, s. 2018. The CSC will administer different written examinations nationwide, eligibility examinations and non-eligibility (agency requested) examinations.

2019 Foreign Service Officer Examinations (FSOE)

The Board of Foreign Service Examinations (BFSE), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has announced the conduct of the 2019 Foreign Service Officer Examinations (FSOE) to recruit candidates for appointment to the position of Foreign Service Officer, Class IV.

The FSOE is a five-part examination consisting of Qualifying Test, Preliminary Interview, Written Test, Psychological Test, and Oral Test.

The first part, the Qualifying Test, will be administered on January 27, 2019 in collaboration with the Civil Service Commission (CSC). For details on the qualifications, application requirements and procedures, and testing centers, interested parties must refer to the attached Announcement.

Application Period: October 8, 2018 - December 6, 2018

2018 Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE)

Enclosed here is the copy of Announcement on the 2018 Foreign Service Officer Exam courtesy of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

The 2018 Foreign Service Officer Exam Qualifying Test is on January 28, 2018.

Application forms shall be duly accomplished by the applicants and submitted in person from 16 October until 01 December 2017 at any Regional Consular Office or at Philippine Embassies or Consulates abroad, and not later than 08 December 2017 until 5:00 p.m. only at the Board of Foreign Service Examinations (BFSE) Secretariat, Second Floor, DFA Main Building, 2330 Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. Applications shall no longer be accepted beyond the set deadlines.

CSC News Release: Foreign Service Officer qualifying test slated May 21

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) will conduct the Qualifying Test for the Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) on May 21, this was announced through CSC Memorandum Circular No. 4, s. 2017.

Applications should be submitted in person at any Regional Consular Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), or Philippine embassies and consulates abroad until March 29; or at the DFA-Board of Foreign Service Examinations, Pasay City until April 12. Admission fee is P500.

The Civil Service Commission also conduct the Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO) in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). The CSE-FSO is both an eligibility exam for government service and a qualifying test for the five-part Foreign Service Officer Examination administered by DFA.
