2017 Fire Officer and Penology Officer Examinations Updates
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) issued Examination Advisory No. 03, s 2017 pertaining to the no conduct of Fire Officer and Penology Officer examination for CY 2017. The said examination will be conducted again in 2018. The CSC said, they will issue another appropriate examination announcement by last quarter of 2017 which shall be posted on the CSC website.

For those who passed the exam, please take note of the following important guidelines.
IMPORTANT:
- Read thoroughly, and be guided, by the corresponding Examination Advisory No. 12, s. 2015 posted in the CSC website through this (link).
- Individual test result generation through OCSERGS (Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System) shall be available by Oct. 12, 2015 and thereafter.
- Concerns on examination result, including verification of Examinee Number, should be coordinated directly with the CSCRO concerned.
- Certification of Eligibility for passers (printed on CSC letterhead, free of charge) shall be available by Oct. 27, 2015 and thereafter. (N.B.: CSC Eligibility card is not yet available.)
- Passers may also opt to apply for regular Certification of Eligibility (printed on security paper at cost).

General Information on FOE or Fire Officer Examination
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) administers the Fire Officer Examination (FOE) in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
To establish a Register of Eligibles (RoE) from which certification and appointment to second level ranks in the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and other functionally related positions shall be made, provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions.
