BFP Recruitment 2020: Regular Quota for Fire Officer 1 (FO1)

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is opening positions for Fire Officer 1 (FO1) nationwide.

Full details of recruitment process as well as program of activities for the simultaneous conduct of regular recruitment and selection for new FO1s are listed through the amended calendar of activities released by the BFP last June 8, 2020. See attachment below:

 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS FOR FIRE OFFICER 1

Here are the Qualification Standards:

• A citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
• A person of good moral character;
• Must have passed the psychiatric / psychological, drug and physical tests;
• Must possess the Second Level Eligibility;
• Must not have been dishonorably discharged or dismissed for case from previous employment;
• Must be at least 1.62 meter height for male and and 1.57 meter for female;
• Must weigh no more or less than 5 kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex;
• Must not less than 21 nor more than 30 years old on the date of actual assumption of duty / oath of office.

Second Level Eligibility (any of the following)

• Career Service Professional (Civil Service Commission);
• Presidential Decree No. 907 (Honor Graduates - Civil Service Commission);
• Career Service Fire Officer Exam (CS FOE - Civil Service Commission);
• Republic Act 1080 (Board and Bar Exams - Professional Regulatory Commission);
• Officer-in-Charge Navigational Watch / Engineering Watch (Marina)

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must submit the following documentary requirements in a properly-tabbed folder to the BFP Regional Offices near you:

• Application Letter;
• 2 handwritten / computerized Personal Data Sheet (PDS);
• Authenticated copy of College Diploma;
• Authenticated copy of Transcript of Record;
• Authenticated copy of Second Level Eligibility;
• PSA Certificate of Live Birth;
• PSA Certificate of Marriage Contract for Female only;
• Brgy, Mayor, Police, NBI, MTC and RTC Clearances;
• Certificate of Waiver if applicable

Waivers (any of the following)

• National Certificate for Indigenous Peoples
• National Certificate for Muslim Filipinos
• Professional Drivers License with restriction code 1, 2 & 3
• Certificate of Fire Volunteer for atleast 6 months

SALARY

Successful applicants will be appointed  to the rank of Fire Officer 1 and will receive a monthly basic salary of Php 29,668.00 or Salary Grade 10. And he/she will be entitled to longevity pay, daily hazard pay as well as clothing and food allowances.

PERIOD OF FILING OF APPLICATION FOLDERS

Acceptance of application folders will run from June 15, 2020 to July 12, 2020.

DATE OF QUALIFYING EXAM

The Qualifying Written Examination for Fire Officer 1 is on August 16, 2020
