In a recent post of Philippine Civil Service Commission on their Facebook Page, Bar/Board Eligibility, pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 1080 is automatically granted to passers of bar examination conducted by the Supreme Court and of licensure board examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

A: Opo. Pero para sa inyong kaalaman, sa bisa ng Republic Act No. 1080, ang Bar Exam na isinasagawa ng Supreme Court, at Licensure Board Exam na isinasagawa ng Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), ay maituturing na civil service examination. Ibig sabihin, ang sinumang nakapasa sa Bar o Board Exam ay mayroong katumbas na civil service eligibility na tinatawag na Bar/Board Eligibility.
Ang level ng civil service eligibility na makukuha ay depende sa klase ng Board Exam na naipasa.
Kung ang education requirement ng Board Exam na inyong naipasa ay “completion of LESS THAN bachelor’s degree”, ang level ng civil service eligibility na katumbas nito ay first level eligibility.
Kung ang education requirement ng Board Exam na inyong naipasa ay “completion of AT LEAST bachelor’s degree”, ang level ng civil service eligibility na katumbas nito ay second level eligibility.
Kung ikaw ay Board Exam passer at may katumbas na Bar/Board Eligibility, maaari ka pa ring kumuha ng CS Exam. Kapag hindi mo naipasa ang CS Exam, hindi maaapektuhan ang iyong Bar/Board Eligibility. Kapag naipasa mo ang CS Exam, bukod sa iyong Bar/Board Eligibility ay magkakaroon ka ng Career Service Professional/Sub-Professional Eligibility.

Hi good pm sir maam...criminology graduate po ako at registered criminologist narin,,,and graduate rin po ng BS agriculture...ang tanung ko po is dba po exempted na po ang board exam passer to take civil service exam dhil po sa color blind ako d ko po maka apply as pnp bfp and bjmp dhil po sa colorblind ako..at tutal po graduate nman po ako ng agriculture nag apply nlng po ako sa provincial agriculture office ngunit wala ako magamit na eligibility as agriculture grduate, ngayun po pwede ko ba i convert yung pagka registered criminologist ko pra magkaroon ng eligibility sa civil service commission to be used in for promotion or applying position in agriculture office
